Ranua is popular with snowmobilers thanks to its excellent routes. The snowmobile routes are official routes that are managed and maintained by Ranua municipality on a regular basis.

The official connections are: Rovaniemi, Vanttaus, Posio, Syöte, Ii and Simo (up to the border of the municipalities under the care of Ranua and as an official route).
